I changed our dramatic play area this week from the pet hospital
to a restaurant
It's always refreshing to get new ideas and see photos of what other teachers do in their dramatic play center. I found some great ideas here. I decided to put a "Please wait to be seated" sign in our restaurant....
I also made a "reservations" sheet and "checks" for the servers to give the customers. I made menus, aprons, and chef hats a few years ago, and they are still in great shape.
I am glad I can give the students in my class the opportunity to experience this type of play. I know many schools do not have the luxury. I am thankful. I love listening to their conservations as they role play. It is one of the reasons I love teaching kindergarten. Thanks for checking in on my little corner of the kindergarten world and have a great weekend!

How fun! I was shopping at Sam's a few years ago and found the order pads and was so excited. My friends just looked at me like I was crazy, but I knew they could use it to write in that station! Thanks for sharing.

Many people choose great dining restaurants for a special occasion, so the food must not disappoint- in either selection or quality. You don’t need to feature a huge menu, but it should be interesting, offering unique items that patrons wouldn’t find at any other restaurant.
